Applied Kinesiology Muscle and Movement Assessment

Is your body aligned and moving efficiently?

Trauma to the body can cause energetic restrictions within the body tissues.  At sites of injury there is often swelling, inflammation, pain, and damaged tissues.  These restrictions cause the body to become bound by tight muscles pulling the body structures out of alignment.

How can applied kinesiology help?

Posture and muscle alignment are assessed with a protocol of manual muscle tests. Massage, acupressure and meridian tracing techniques activate the body’s own systems to increase the flow of blood, fluids and Qi (electrical signals) to correct painful imbalances within the body's tissues and energetic systems.  By finding and releasing obstructions which limit freedom of movement; Applied Kinesiology treatments are apply to attempt to bring the body into a state of equilibrium both structurally and energetically.

Manual Muscle Testing
Assesses the integrity of each muscle by demonstrating if the spine and central nervous system are properly communicating with the rest of the body.

Gait Testing

Uses manual muscle testing to determine if the body's movement patterns are activated and integrated.  Often from traumatic injury or sport; the body's electrical communication to basic motor patterns are interrupted.  Applied Kinesiology is able to locate these interrupted motor patterns and re-activate them to proper function.

Origin/Insertion Massage
Releases muscle tension by activating the points where affected muscles attach to the bone.

Lymphatic Massage
Encourages the efficient elimination of waste material filtered by the lymphatic system.

Acupressure
Promotes the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body through subtle manipulations along acupuncture points and meridians.

Nutritional Analysis
Seeks to strengthen specific areas of the body through dietary supplementation.
